WHAT IS L.E.T AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Lymphatic Enhancement Technology, L.E.T for short, is the decongestion of the lymphatic system using the Lymphstar Pro Fusion® (LPF) lymphatic therapy instrument. L.E.T enhances detoxification and health by improving lymphatic circulation up to 10 times faster than traditional manual lymphatic drainage. The therapy unit emits a combination of vibrational energies (an electrostatic field, low-frequency acoustic waves, and an electro-pressure field) which clear away randomly bonded proteins, excess fluid, and blockages in the lymphatic system. It also stimulates the meridians and acupuncture points of the body and is extremely relaxing to experience.

Healthy tissue contains proteins that are always in a state of alignment. This is most evident in the stable alignment of collagen in the connective tissue found throughout the body. When cells die or are damaged, these protein structures breakdown and are removed by the lymphatic system. When the lymphatic system is unable to fully remove these proteins (due to blockage or congestion) pathologies occur in the body including cancers. As these nonfunctional proteins bond in random, unaligned structures. This random alignment is called the fibrotic condition of the interstitium (the area between living cells in the connective tissue). The instability of nonfunctional proteins causes them to attract and hold water by electrical bonding causing what is known as Edema.

L.E.T creates separation in the randomly bonded proteins throughout the body by presenting a flood of electrons compatible with the random protein structures which causes them to release the water they are holding.  Healthy tissue protein structures do not attract water and therefore are not affected by the energy presented by L.E.T.

FAQS

What symptoms can L.E.T relieve?

L.E.T can help relieve:

  • lymphedema/edema/swelling

  • fatigue

  • chronic stress

  • post-surgical swelling/scar tissue

  • inflammation/chronic pain

  • digestive issues

  • autoimmune disorders

  • hormone imbalance

  • weekend immune system

  • pain

  • and more!

What should I expect in my Lymphatic Therapy Treatment?

Your therapist uses the two Lymph therapy heads of the machine to lightly stroke the skin in the direction of lymph flow. Therapy heads may be left in place for up to 5 mins to open up stagnant areas. The sequence used follows the lymph drainage pathways, lymph nodes, and certain organs. After clearing the system, specific problem areas (i.e., a swollen ankle) can be addressed. Addressing problems before clearing the lymph passageways can cause further swelling and discomfort, always feel free to ask questions if you are curious as to why your therapist is spending so much time clearing an area before addressing your problem. When receiving this therapy, it is normal to feel anything from just the touch of the therapy heads, tingling sensation or a draining or light feeling in an area. If you don’t “feel” it at the time of service don’t worry, it is still working! After the service you may experience light detoxing symptoms (slight nausea, increased bowel movements, frequent urination, and even headaches break-outs or bloating). These symptoms should only last 1-2 days and the majority of clients do not experience anything more than increased trips to the restroom in the 12 hours following the service. Positive effects include deeper sleep, feeling relaxed, less stressed, improvement in targeted conditions, increased immune function, clear sinuses, clearing of the skin (after initial detox breakouts skin improves due to increased ability to remove toxins), decreases swelling, decreased bloating (may cause initial bloating in the first 24-48 hrs then you should notice a decrease in bloating/constipation problems).  There is a slight chance of a static shock sensation (like wearing wool socks on the carpet then touching a metal object) while you are receiving LET due to the static energy being created. Your therapist wears nitrite gloves and has been trained in grounding techniques to avoid any static shock sensations.

How do I know if I have lymphatic problems?

Lymphatic flow functions normally with physical activity and an overall healthy circulatory system. But stagnation can occur anywhere along the system creating congestion and thicker lymphatic fluid. Also, surgery, injuries, radiation therapy, and removal of lymph structures create scar tissue that blocks lymph flow. The results of slower or blocked flow can be many. They range from sinus trouble, headaches, swelling (edema) in any part of the body, tender cystic breasts, fatigue and chronic pain syndromes, skin and other infections, asthma and allergies, poor digestion, female problems, prostate issues, continued pain after injuries and surgeries, premature aging, to cancer and other ‘dis-eases’.

What congests Lymph flow?

Lymph flow can be impeded due to sedentary lifestyle, dehydration, tight clothing, underwire in bras, lack of excercise, unhealthy food/abuse of food, electronic and chemical pollution, chronic stress, poor sleep, endocrine disruptors (mimic hormones and are caused by plastics, air pollution, drugs, herbicides, and pesticides). Surgery,  the removal of lymph structures and radiation therapy can also create scar tissue within the lymphatic system which can block the flow of lymph in those areas.

What can I do to improve my Lymph flow at home between LET sessions?

There are a few ways to improve the flow of lymphatic fluid between sessions. First of all, making sure you are drinking enough water is crucial along with regular exercise, good nutrition and stress management. On top of those things dry brushing is a great way to stimulate your lymphatic system, rebounding on a mini trampoline helps pump lymph through the body, and ending your showers with cool water stimulates lymph flow as well (and really wakes you up!)
