The Garden Mule + Mocktail Mule
We teamed up with Belinda (a rockstar mom herself) of Happy Camper Cocktails to create a series of seasonal mocktails for Om Mama Co.! I wanted our readers to be inspired to create a little something special for themselves, whether they’re pregnant, nursing, or choose not to drink alcohol in general!
Garden Mule & Mocktail Mule
Why it’s great: quick, crowd pleasing, and a garden fresh flip to the traditional moscow mule.
makes 1 serving
- .5 ounces Simple Goodness Sisters’ Marionberry Mint syrup
- 3-4 ounces ginger beer (we love our locally brewed Timber City Ginger Beer, and recommend checking whether anyone around you makes a fresh brew, or look for a good spicy flavor sold nationally like Gosling’s)
- 1/6 of a lime, cut into a wedge
- ice (crush it if you feel like it)
- a mint sprig to garnish, optional
How to make it: combine all ingredients in a rocks glass, stir well to combine, squeeze in the lime. That is it. And that’s why I love this drink: unique, flavorful, and super fast. It’s tasty with or without alcohol and because the syrup is so PACKED with fresh picked flavor, you don’t need to add anything fresh except for as a garnish if you choose. This makes it the perfect mocktail for the beach, vacations, camping, etc, since minimal ingredients are needed.
